Tasks and functions
In its activity, the Embassy is guided by the Constitution and other normative legal acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Vienna Conventions of 1961 and 1963. on external and consular relations, as well as other international legal norms established in world practice. The diplomatic mission represents the Republic of Uzbekistan in the People's Republic of China and protects the interests of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its citizens within the limits permitted by international law and bilateral treaties and agreements with that state, as well as multilateral treaties to which both states are parties. The Embassy, in accordance with its authority, maintains contacts with state bodies, socio-political, expert and research circles, the media, as well as colleagues from among the diplomatic corps accredited in the host country. The embassy has a consular department dealing with visa, civil and other issues regulated by the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963, as well as the relevant bilateral legal instruments signed by Uzbekistan and China. The consular department issues visas to Chinese and other foreign citizens to enter Uzbekistan, draw up passports to citizens of the republic permanently residing in the PRC, legalize and conduct notarization of documents intended for use on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, register acts of civil status and carry out other activities. The schedule of reception of visitors on consular issues: On all consular issues without an appointment, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 09.00 to 13.00 hours. On Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as on holidays, visitors are not accepted on consular issues.
